RoHS Certification in Himachal Pradesh refers to the restriction of hazardous substances in the electrical and electronic products. All products must apply the RoHS compliance to get step into the EU market since July 1, 2006. The main objective of RoHS compliance is to restrict the use of six hazardous substances within the Electrical and Electronic Equipments(EEE). The six hazardous substances are mercury, lead, cadmium, Polybrominated diphenyl ethers, Polybrominated biphenyls and hexavalent chromium.
In 2011, EU published RoHS 2 or known as RoHS Recast, CE Marking directive is included in RoHS 2 and added categories 8 and 9, moreover, has added compliance recordkeeping requirements.
In 2015, EU published RoHS 3, four hazardous substances (phthalates) now has been added to the list of restricted hazardous 6 substances.
Below is the list of restricted hazardous 10 substances, from which the starting 6 are applied to original RoHS while the remaining four were added under RoHS 3.
